This qualification is also suitable for those who currently work in a teaching/assessing role and wish to develop their knowledge and skills in internal quality assurance.
During this course, Learners will build an understanding of the principles and practices of internal quality assurance within a vocational education setting. Topics include: context and principles of internal quality assurance, techniques and criteria for monitoring the quality of assessment, legal and good practice requirements for internal quality assurance of assessment and more.

The Level 4 Award in Understanding the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (RQF) is specifically designed to give candidates an introduction into internal quality assurance. This qualification is ideal for two types of candidate; those looking to start a career as an IQA, starting with the internal quality assurance of predominantly theory based qualifications and also for those who require an understanding of the processes involved in internal quality assurance, but are not required to apply this knowledge in a practical manner; such as assessors or administration staff.
Successful Learners will gain knowledge in areas such as: policies and procedures relevant to internal quality assurance, legal requirements, and techniques for monitoring the quality of assessment internally.
